SEX WEEK PROMOTED EMPOWERMENT
By Connie Chow Posted October 23rd, 2014
"Sex Week is one of the best things that has happened to our university in a long time. Not only does it break down barriers on traditionally taboo subjects, it’s managed to portray sexual education and empowerment from a variety of perspectives, including people from both the LGBT community and religious organizations. Thanks to Sex Week, I feel infinitely more comfortable talking about sex, and in turn, I have never felt more at peace with myself." - Connie Chow
RESPONDING TO SEX WEEK OPPOSITION
By Michael Hobgood Posted October 24rd, 2014
"...Sex Week needs to continue expanding beyond the realm of safe sex practices to promote healthy conversations about sex in all its forms. Sexual health is about more than just condoms and STI testing; it is about educating people about ALL of the many nuanced ways in which human sexuality manifests itself, creating an environment in which everyone is afforded the opportunity to express — and explore — their own sexuality safely, without fear of judgment or unwanted experiences." - Michael Hobgood
